Gents and Girls Debutant Cotillion
The program was established in 2015 and has undergone three name changes: The Daughters for the King, Gorgeous Gifted Girls, and now Gents and Girls Debutant Cotillion. Seeing the need in our community, not only were girls in need of our program, but boys as well. The Gents and Girls Debutant Cotillion is a nonprofit program under the umbrella of Community Cry Inc. Through our building sessions, we are dedicated to empowering, educating, and encouraging children from the ages of 5-15 years old. In a six-month program, children are in groups according to their learning ability: 5-7, 8-11, 12-15. Each session is facilitated by professional coaches who have empathy and care for children and their families: Communication, Better Self (self-confidence), Family Networking, Etiquette, Entrepreneurship (hands-on), Mental Health (Are You Ok?), and Dance practice. Talent is done in private time, a safe measure for all participants when it comes to the final event. At the final event, the winners are crowned.
